Yossi Hen
Yossi Hen was born in 1948. He served in the IDF for four
years.
Hen holds a Bachelor`s degree inMiddle Eastern History, from
Haifa University (1975) and a Master's degree in Business
Administration from Ben Gurion University (2000).
The subject of his Masters Degree thesis was "West Bank
Barrier - Obstacle or Border" (2007).
Hen served over 30 years in the Israeli Security Agency
(ISA), including senior positions, during which he dealt with
topics relevant to Arabs of Israel and in Lebanon.
Hen operated, under the ECF and other frameworks, for the
erection of the West Bank Barrier and the strive for a two
states solution – Jewish Democratic and Arab Palestinian.
Kamal Hassan
Kamal Hassan is a Board Member at
Mitvim - The Israeli
Institute for Regional Foreign Policies
and a lecturer at the
Open University, and a Ph.D. candidate in Middle Eastern
Studies at Tel Aviv Univeristy. His areas of expertise are:
Islam, Democracy and Civil Society; think tanks, and Arab
society in Israel. Mr. Hassan has a Master's in Middle Eastern
Studies from Ben Gurion University and a Master's in Public
Administration from the University of Haifa. In 2010, he was
selected by the U.S. Embassy in Israel to participate in the
Civic Education and Leadership in the Middle East Fellows
Program at The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public
Affairs, Syracuse University. Mr. Hassan also teaches History
and Citizenship Education in high schools, has served as
a Board Member of the organization "Peace Children," was
the Arab sector representative in the organization "Peace
Generation," the President of the Students' Union for Higher
Education in Tamra, and the Vice-President of The Western
Galilee College's Students' Union.
